Grade Point Average
The grade point average is based on grades earned in coures offering credit at Duke, and may be calculated based on the following numerical equivalencies in the grading system:
A+ 4.0 C+ 2.3 A 4.0 C 2.0 A- 3.7 C- 1.7
B+ 3.3 D+ 1.3 B 3.0 D 1.0 B- 2.7 D- 1.0 F/U 0.0
With pass/fail courses, a grade of "P" is not calculated into the GPA, but a "U" (failing) is a part of that calculation.
